Colour Trends 2015

Here at Kobomo we like to help you look current whilst still offering unique styles to ensure individuality.  A recent announcement from world-renowned authority on colour, Pantone, predicts the colour for 2015 as 'Marsala', a rich red-brown, just like the fortified wine that gives it its name.  Pantone's colour trend forecasts predict the hues that will be on trend for the coming year across a variety of industries including fashion, makeup and home decor.

Look out for it in gorgeous rich lipsticks, nail polish, fashion and homewares.  I love its plush earthiness and the ease at which it coordinates with other hues whether as a strong accent colour or stand alone statement piece. Marsala works well with many colours from taupes, golden yellows, greys, greens including turquoise and teal, and even vibrant blues.

Here are some of our gorgeous Marsala inspired accessories and garments currently in stock.  They are available in store now at our Noosaville Boutique or postage can be arranged.  Happy shopping, Amanda.

Bad Hair Day or Windy Weather - a head scarf can work wonders

Sunday Style Session with @iamstyling.com.au

Here are some fun ways to tie head scarves (images courtesy of stylisheve); great for windy days like it was here on the Sunny Coast and those bad hair days we all have occasionally.
We have a selection of bandanas in our Play store plus some light colourful summer scarves in our ladies store.

Feet First - Never Sacrifice Comfort for Fashion

Sunday Styling Session with i A.M. styling...never sacrifice comfort for fashion especially on your feet.

Ever fallen victim to an irresistible looking pair of shoes only to discover after your first wear they're more pain than gain? You bring them out again assuring yourself each time they'll have worn in a bit by now, only to have your poor little tootsies screaming once more "take them off!"?

As we age we need to take into consideration a few little facts about our feet. For instance, did you know that we have less padding on the balls of our feet (it obviously migrates to other parts of our bodies like butts and tums I'm sure!)? Cushioned soles and well placed straps with a little 'give' can make a world of difference. Always try shoes on and do a few laps of the store before making a purchase.

There are many summer styles around and a simple white sandal can look elegant and crisp with most of your summer daytime wardrobe. These little sparkly numbers in the picture are in store add just the right amount of bling to add interest. With a spongy sole that's like walking on a cloud and comfortable elastic ankle strap, they tick all the boxes for both style and comfort.

Pick yours up before they're sold out - just $39.70

Short in Stature? Create the illusion of more height with this simple trick

Sunday Styling Session with i A.M. styling

This week I'd like to share a styling trick for those, like me, who would like to create the illusion of more height. By adding interest with colour, texture, pattern or accessories near your face and upper body you will effectively draw attention upward. Conversely, wearing eye-catching shoes or items lower on your body can have the opposite effect by drawing your overall look down. Eye-catchers placed above and below will have a balanced effect.

Just landed in store are our gorgeous Cotton Ethnic Embroidered Tunics. As you can see, the bright colours in the embroidery on the neck and chest are a real eye-catcher. Perfect for our little model powerhouse Nella, who we've also styled with our fun feather earrings
